October is coming to a quick close! The snowy season is upon us and I’m driving around with skis and gear in my car nowadays just incase of that after work skin up a hill.

I’m currently listening to Sons of Daughters, a great trio comprised of tenor, bass and drums. Three improv masters who read each others musical intentions and moves like a book. Saxophonist Patrick Breiner is hopefully coming to VT in February…trying to help him book some gigs…

 

 

 

 

 

Excited to play at the Ski Hall of Fame 2011 induction at Killington Resort later this month!

Ticketed event featuring a dinner and silent auction. I have been a skier all of my life, so it will be exciting to be at this event, especially since our founding member of ZJazz is a member of the HOF as well.

Three Pieces for the Anatolian Trio Awarded Society for New Music Honorable Mention

Congratulations to composer Jessica Rudman for being awarded Honorable Mention in the Society for New Music 2011 Brian M. Israel award. She composed Three Pieces for the Anatolian Trio in the spring of 2010, which we primiered in May of that year. We also featured her work on our 2010 tour of Turkey where we performed this work around the country in several locations.

Clarinet recital Thursday

Thursday is the clarinet recital benefiting the Eleva Chamber Players. The house concert will be at the Moose Meadow Lodge in Duxbury VT. Reception at 6 PM, concert at 6:45 and dinner following at 7:30.
